Our Story

Wilsons Fireplaces was established in Ballymena, over 40 years ago, by Robert Wilson Snr and his wife Sarah. Wilsons Fireplaces is a reputable fireplace company with showrooms in Ballymena, Belfast, Coleraine, Lisburn and Newtownabbey. The company is now managed by the next generation of the Wilson family and has become the largest fireplace and stove retailing group in Northern Ireland.

Wilsons Fireplaces began in Duke Street in Ballymena and later expanded to Mount Street. Due to the success and growth of the business it became necessary to move to larger premises. We then moved to our current 7500 square foot showroom in Pennybridge Industrial Estate in Ballymena enabling us to broaden our product range and to enter the gas fire market.

In 2013 we opened our Lisburn showroom boasting 5500 square foot of retail space to display our wide range wood burning, gas and electric fires. 2013 also saw us become exclusive stockists of Faber gas fires and the exquisite Chesney’s of London fireplace range.

2015 was another busy year for Wilsons Fireplaces. We opened our showroom in Coleraine, which has enabled us to bring our extensive range of products to the North Coast. The acquisition of The Stove Store in Newtownabbey located within the Abbey Kitchens and Bathrooms complex came in late 2015. This showroom now also boasts the same great products and deals that you would expect from Wilsons Fireplaces. We were also proudly awarded the ‘Phoenix Gas Retailer of the Year 2015’ title.
